Getting Started

How to Sign Up for MapSerp.co?

To register for MapSerp.co, simply follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of the homepage.
  2. Enter your email address, username, and password.
  3. Accept the terms of service and privacy policy.
  4. Click the "Sign Up" button to create your account.
  5. Complete your registration by clicking the verification link sent to your email address.

Configuring Your Account Settings

To update and customize your account information:

  1. After logging in, click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Profile" or "Settings" option.
  3. Update your contact information, company details, and preferences.
  4. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to save changes.

Scanning Guide

Adding Your Business

To add your business from Google Maps to the system:

  1. Go to the "My Businesses" page from the dashboard or main menu.
  2. Click the "Add New Business" button.
  3. Enter your business name and search on Google Maps.
  4. Select your business from the results or manually enter information if not found in the list.
  5. Verify business category, address, and other contact information.
  6. Complete the process by clicking the "Add Business" button.

Starting a Scan

To start a scan for your business:

  1. Click the "New Scan" button from the dashboard or go to the "Scan" page from the main menu.
  2. Select the business you want to scan.
  3. Add the keywords you want to track (e.g., "cafe", "restaurant", "breakfast").
  4. Select the scan area on the map or specify the center location.
  5. Set the scan radius (larger areas require more credits).
  6. Choose scan density (higher density provides more detailed results).
  7. Click the "Start Scan" button.

Interpreting Scan Results

After completing a scan, you can interpret the results as follows:

  • Heat Map: Shows your rankings at different locations. Colors represent your ranking performance (green: good, red: poor).
  • Ranking Table: Shows your exact ranking position for each location and keyword.
  • Competitor Analysis: Shows competitors that rank better than you in the same locations.
  • Performance Chart: Shows your ranking changes over time (if you perform regular scans).

Understanding Ranking Metrics

Main metrics you will see in reports:

  • Average Ranking: Your average rank position across all locations and keywords.
  • Visibility Score: A score between 0-100 showing how visible you are on Google Maps.
  • Best Rankings: Locations and keywords where you perform best.
  • Improvement Opportunities: Areas you can improve and recommendations.

Payment and Credits

How Does the Credit System Work?

MapSerp.co uses a credit-based system for scans:

  • A specific number of credits is used for each scan.
  • The amount of credits used depends on the size of the scan area and the number of keywords tracked.
  • Credit calculation formula: Scan points × Number of keywords = Credits used
  • For example, 25 scan points and 4 keywords use a total of 100 credits (25 × 4).

  • Starter Package: 500 credits - For small businesses and limited areas.
  • Professional Package: 2000 credits - For medium-sized businesses and wide geographical areas.
  • Enterprise Package: 5000 credits - For large businesses and multi-location scans.

You can use the following payment methods to purchase credits:

  • Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)

Troubleshooting

Scanning Issues

Issues you may encounter during scanning and their solutions:

  • Cannot start scan: Make sure you have enough credits. If your credits are insufficient, you need to purchase new credits.
  • Business not found: Make sure you are using the correct business name on Google Maps. Alternatively, enter your business's complete Google Place ID.
  • Scan cannot be completed: The area you selected may be too large. Try reducing the scan area or purchasing more credits.
  • Results not current: Google data is updated periodically. There may have been no changes since your last scan. Try scanning at 1-2 week intervals.

Account Issues

Issues you may experience with your account:

  • Cannot log in: Make sure you are using the correct email and password. If you forgot your password, use the "Forgot Password" option.
  • Email verification not received: Check your Spam/Junk folder. If you still can't find it, use the "Resend verification email" option.
  • Profile cannot be updated: Clear your browser cache and try again. If the problem persists, consider trying a different browser.
